We just found out that special characters are preventing Vista from attaching copies of checks to the invoice or payment records. Viewpoint needs to add an error if the user tries to add a special character in the vendor name.

Our company does not seem to be experiencing this same issue unless I am looking in the wrong area for no attachments. Some of our vendors have special characters and looking in AP Payment History there is an attachment of the check or EFT depending on payment type. Personally I would think at the least if this was to be changed then make a warning but not stop a person from entering special characters. You could also create an expression for the Vendor name field to prevent users from entering special characters.
