It would be great to have a checkbox as "Quote Required" that can be checked by either the technician in Field Service or the back office staff to indicate a quote is needed.
We would want the quote created but not linked to the Work order.
For example, inspection services where deficiencies are found on site. We want a quote created, copying the scope details over to this quote (scope description, note and link to the work order shown on the quote), but when the quote is approved we don't want it written back to the existing work order. We want a new one.
Alternatively, allow the quote to be created from the Work Order but then on the Quote indicate that it will be a new Work order.
Also, if we require a quote 1/2 way through the repair, make sure that all details of the quote write back to the work order either as a new scope or to the existing scope. Again, this should be configurable.
