From 6.14.0 beta - improvements to new Attachment Lister

Now that the attachment viewer isn’t such a dog on form loading and record changing, can we setup and expose some control of it?   A few ideas..

 

  • Setup VA Site settings to allow control of the default state of the Attachment Lister on all forms.   The System default is currently “Off”, I’d like to set it to Default “On”  for all forms.  So that users will always see the attachments displayed for a record
  • Add a Combobox to set a User’s Default view of the Attachment Lister.   (I’d set as a default to have everyone use Icon so they could see more of the file name as List cuts off more characters)
  • Create a Button to reset everyone’s form settings to the new default

 

So much of this system is based upon attachments, why make the users turn this feature on per form.   A lot of us have written stored procedures to accomplish this, it would be nice to have it in a gui.
