Allowing images to be stored in a UD field

We are heavily utilising serviceable items for asset management of our clients' sites and like to include an image of the asset in our reports to them showing any wear and tear, issues, etc.  At the moment, there is no support for images in UD fields, we feel this would be a good addition across the board.

  Are there any examples for SSRS (or Crystal) showing how to show attachments in reports?

  Have you tried using attachments functionality on the serviceable item to add an image, and then include on report?
