need the ability to link ud fields between forms

Our current need is to add a ud recertification date field in HR Training Classes and then have that date flow over to the HR Resource Training record when the employees are added to the class. This would apply in many circumstances though.

  Need it desparately between HR Resources and PR Employees. So much overlap but don't want to give one group too many permissions to see the others' forms.

  Would you expect to be able to edit it from both sides? Or would it be more of a one-time-copy? Or, would it be display-only in one of the forms?
