Check and Invoice/Pay app voiding process - Extremely inefficient and errors occur when removing the 5 hold code. It currently takes multiple steps to void an invoice. enter a reversing invoice and cancel out in CM clear entries,
retainage is hold code 5 in their case. Once the invoice has been entered and it is determined that there will be no payment of retainage. Have to enter a negative invoice to reverse the charge and then have to go to Clear transactions. That is what I believe is the situation.
I need a clear description of the steps you are going through to understand the issue and what/how the process can be improved. What is the 5 hold code?
