Although there might be something like this and we are unaware of it, we think there should be an error or warning any time a payroll transaction that inputs time or $$ results in the earnings amount of 0.00 factoring into gross pay. Because each earnings code is defined as amount or rate, we have twice now chosen the wrong earnings code for the employee and not appropriately paid our employee. We are unaware until the employee brings it to our attention because the crew totals for hours are adding up.

Dear Viewpoint Suggestion Box contributor;
We at Viewpoint sincerely thank you for your contribution to Suggestion Box on how we can improve Viewpoint products. While we can’t do everything at once, we rely upon your feedback to help guide the prioritization of our product improvements, and Suggestion Box is a critical tool for us to understand and prioritize our customers’ needs.
Viewpoint reviews Suggestion Box regularly for all of our products and updates statuses, adds comments, and performs various house-keeping (including deleting) as needed to ensure that Suggestion Box is maintained as a productive environment for product enhancements requests.
The warning should also be made hard for a keyer to proceed beyond the dollar amount so that it is corrected right away. Every time I have an error in a field that I enter on time entry the curser goes to the next field instead of staying where the error was and making a keyer fix the error.
