It would be helpful for Vista to have an option to limit the invoice date to a date within or prior to the batch month. Recently, we have had several keying errors upon invoice entry, and the system allowed an invoice date as far in the future as 12/27/27. The invoices were able to be validated and posted with no errors or warnings.
The system currently has a feature in place t o limit the entry of batch months, I would like to see the same for invoice date.

You may want to consider using custom date validations. I previously created a few validations for a client, one warned users if a date was a future date, another warned if it was more than 90 days before or after today. I've posted the steps to create the 90-day validation on my blog if you are interested in creating the validation. You could customize the validation to warn if the date was outside the dates in the batch month if you prefer that.
