Add a form or button to migrate old usernames to the new SSO format. For example, automatically convert usernames like jdoe@company.com_11111 to jdoe@company.com. This would ensure consistency across systems and simplify report matching by removing the need to guess which format a username uses.
When a username is migrated, the change should also update any tables or records that reference the username, including audit tables. This ensures that all historical data, relationships, and activity logs remain accurate and tied to the correct user after the migration.
