We are in the process of migrating to Vista and would like to display some "legacy" information in UD Fields.
The issue we are running into is that we cannot make these read only.

Viewpoint reviews Suggestion Box regularly for all of our products and updates statuses, adds comments, and performs various house-keeping (including deleting) as needed to ensure that Suggestion Box is maintained as a productive environment for product enhancements requests.

I believe this has been suggested previously.
But as a work around, you can create a validation procedure in most forms, that will check if it equals previous value, if it doesn't, rollback change and inform the user.
