At beginning of each new fiscal year an automated entry is set up by me to record reoccurring "standard" entries for depreciation and prepaid accounts. Every month I have to remember to create a batch, initialize, and post these entries - which seldom change during the year. It would benefit the company if the process was set up to automatically post these "standard" entries instead of my relying on my Outlook Calendar to remind me to do so. I am a part time consultant responsible for this activity and at this point unable to off load this responsibility to any others in the department.

If you are comfortable with posting the entries based on the beginning of the year entries, you could open batch months into the future and post them through the end of the year now. You will have to be able open batches that far forward to do it this way (see Max # of open months in GL Company Parameters). I've generally seen it added to a month-end closing checklist and posted monthly.
