Ability to filter grids by "blank"

Sometimes it would be really useful to be able to filter by "blank". Maybe by putting a predetermined "wildcard symbol" in the grid filter bar Vista would filter out all records that have data in that field. I know I could sort the data to get all the blanks on top but there are instances where I just would like to see the records with the blank and then sort by another field

  Ideas for what to put to filter for blanks:

  • '' (two ' marks)
  • !*
  • !=*
  • <>*
  • NULL
