Approvers should have the ability to approve a lesser or partial amount in unapproved invoice entry. As it stands now, either the approver has to approve the entire amount or reject and AP has to revise and re-submit. It's a waste of time.

The way to solve this is to reject, send back to accounting, and ask to split. Will not implement as requested.
