Roth and regular 401k catch up need to allow for both types when determining cap for year

When calculating roth 401k and regular 401k catch up deferrals, system doesn't know to look at all 4 categories; it stops at 3.  There should be a toggle on the 401k to allow for catch up provisions to jump to the next level, using the mix of regular 401k and roth.

    Jessica,

The email below indicates the status of this suggestion has been changed to Shipped. What exactly does that mean? Have you implemented the suggestion with a change in the Viewpoint software?

We here at Zidell have this very same issue. It would take manual intervention of the part of my overloaded PR employee to make sure the catch up limits are not exceeded. Viewpoint needs to manage the 19k limit between the standard 401k and the Roth 401k AND ALSO manage the 6k limit between the 401k catch up and the Roth 401k catch up. We have employees over 50 contributing to both plans.

Yes, there should be a combined limit.  I have experienced individuals have their catch-up calculate past the limit because Viewpoint wasn't able to recognize all of the components.

To confirm, you are asking for a combined limit (e.g. $6K) for employees making contributions to both standard and Roth 401k catch-up deductions - correct?

The current system handles limits for a single catch-up deduction when limits on the pre-tax group is met - it should be extended to handle multiple catch-up deductions with their own combined limit.
