If this auto filled from the previous entry, it would save keystrokes when entering a large volume of invoices. It does this when entering invoices via the AP Transaction Entry module, and it would be a time saver if it was consistent with the AP Unapproved Invoice Entry module.

As suggested, pressing F3 to access Field Properties from the Vendor input field and setting its default to Previous Value should provide the behavior you are asking for
If you press F3 in the field and then in the User Overrides tab change the Type box to be "1-Previous Value" it will automatically use the field from the previous sequence.
This works on any field.
ComputerEase let's you hit a F key that fills in the last entry in that field automatically. Super handy.
