When an employee clocks in and out, allow their preset piece of equipment to add to timecard entry as a mechanic line. Currently it only allows a job line.

I am forwarding this to our Vista Web (portal) team for review
No, when the employee clocks in and out I would like the timecard line created to be a mechanic type line. Currently it creates as a job type line only.
Am I understanding you correctly that the end goal need to be a mechanic type timecard line charging employees time to a piece of equipment, and you want to be able to add another piece of equipment to this same timecard line, that the employee is assigned to as an operator, to hit that same piece of equipment with additional cost on top of employees time?
We are capturing the clock in/out on the portal and then using those autogenerated lines in Vista to process payroll. It creates a job line with the clock in/out, even though the timecard setting in the portal is Mechanic. You can change it in the portal by adding a mechanic timecard line and deleting the job line, but it would be better if it just autogenerated a line as a mechanic type.
Are you capturing time in Vista or on the portal?
