HR Work Force Analysis report

It would be helpful if this report had the option to select only active employees and also a different option for range of time rather then just hire date. This is something needed for government reporting and i am surprised the report is not easier to use to get the information that is needed.

i have had to export the HR grid and delete a lot of information just to be able to filter what is needing for the government reporting--- very time consuming
