Currently the dropdowns grab data from a custom table/detail setup in VA Custom Dropdowns.
Could you add two more sources for dropdown data?
Doing this would really enhance how dropdowns are used throughout the software.

Aside from the fact that Inquiries can be a lot more than just a custom view, no. The 'Drop down' as a form control shows the user that there are a limited number of acceptable entries, and we only need to see the value that will be entered.
I'm assuming this is why Viewpoint has not consolidated the two types of of 'multiple option select' styles yet, is because one can contain a lot more info but requires a F4 keypress, while the other is useful for quick selection from a short list.
So my question remains: Can we power that 'quick selection menu' from somewhere besides a static table in the VA module?
Nathan, are you talking about customizing the VA Custom Field Combo Boxes specifically?
Otherwise, it seems like the UD User Defined Lookups form should offer just about all the flexibility you should need. It will accept custom views (essentially Inquiries) and you can pass all the parameters you want.
