Create a grid navigation tool to jump to a specific column.

It is sometimes necessary to look for an infrequently used column in the grid view.  Scrolling the grid left/right is tedious-especially if it is large and busy as in screens such as HR Resource, PR Employee, AR Customer, AP Vendor and so forth.  It would be helpful if there were a feature that would present the user with a list of columns in the grid and then autoscroll to bring the column the user selects into view. This would apply to all grids in the system.  This is admittedly not an essential feature, but it would be helpful in making grids easier to use.

Nathan is correct.   Scott, you're talking about the functionality to skip a field when you're doing data entry.  What Dan wants is an easy way to FIND a specific column in a Grid like any of the Master Files.   And I feel his pain.  When you're in JC Jobs and you know the tax location field is SOMEWHERE in this Grid w/ seemingly 100 columns.  I know you guys try and order them sort of like they appear in the Tabs, but I find myself spending WAAAAY more time than I should on occasions trying to find the column.  If there was a drop-down on the toolbar that maybe listed all the fields in the Grid alphabetically so you could select one and your cursor would jump to that column.    Like Dan said, not essential, but would help me keep my ever-so-tenuous grip on my sanity at times.

The requested feature does not exist.

In a grid with a large number of fields, it would be very nice to QUICKLY jump left/right to see the desired column. Perhaps a "quick select column" hot key or something along those lines that pops open a list of columns, in which the user could grab one?

Your field properties controls if a field can be skipped via TAB key-press while entering data. While nice, that is completely different.

Skipping column today is possible today via our F3 field properties feature.
