When on a RDC connection using vista the splash screen fading in and out not only looks horrible, the time it takes that animation to run expands as the internet connection decreases. On slower, mobile connections it painful to sit through where everything else is manageable.

Viewpoint reviews Suggestion Box regularly for all of our products and updates statuses, adds comments, and performs various house-keeping (including deleting) as needed to ensure that Suggestion Box is maintained as a productive environment for product enhancements requests.
In 6.16 it has been removed. At least on local connections.
I'm using the beta, and I think it will be released in about a month.
