In order to protect the HR Data from being accessed through a db query, you must lock down data security on the HR tables. However, if you do this, it renders the HR Leave Approval/Request programs unusable by non-HR-personnel.
In order to get around this, you can create a data security group for each individual employee who would request/approve leave and give them access to their own HR record, even if you don't give them front-end HR access. However, with hundreds of employees this is unweildy and opens up the risk of error in applying data security to one of the most important tables, by the number of employees you have to create individual profiles for. Would it be possible to enhance this security issue, or create a view of the HR table instead of having the leave program look directly at hrrm? We'd like to be able to use this great feature without having to maintain hundreds of data security groups and risk accidentally exposing HR data.

Feature not functional for those users that employ HR Data Security. This may be a significant number of enterprises that operate on Vista. This should be addressed sooner rather than later.
Yes this leave request feature is useless for those that use employee data security. Please fix this in a future release!
Easy for me to vote YES - as the Process Manager at LVC I'm supposed to be testing functionality of all Vista modules. But because of this security risk I'm locked out. Frustrating.
