We had a scenario of an accidental keystroke error in the "Amount" field on Timecard entry, in the thousands of dollars, that was not caught until after deposit of funds. If the Amount field was restricted to a formula of Rate x Hours = Amount, then this error shouldn't be allowed. If there is a need to enter and simple dollar amount, there should be a separate column/field for that entry (such as travel pay, which is not tied to a rate or hours).

This happens to us once as well. We solved it removing the "Amount" field from the data entry screen. That way it impossible to accidentally override the field. If I happen to need the field, I can easily add it back when entering data.
