After updating to 6.18.0 the reports that now have the Multi-Valued Report Parameters now display a report details page once the report is generated. You now have to move to the second page of the report to drill down into the data.
This details page is not necessary, as you can see these details on the Report Info tab prior to generating the report.
This new feature adds no benefit to us, and we would like the option to switch it off.

Many times a report will be brought to my attention and the first thing I do is check the parameters in the header. Most users will either suppress or delete that cover page which effectively eliminates my spot check. Additionally, the cover page is a wasted extra sheet of paper.
Since many would still prefer the reports the way they were, could Vista offer up a patch of the old reports that existed prior to the enhancements? Those who want those reports, could upload them and those who do not can ignore them.
While I appreciate the effort to update the reports, these standard reports were widely used by all employees, and utilized for client documentation, audit, billings, review, analysis. The new reports are less robust for our needs.
I was able to "turn it off" for the JC Detail Report.
You have to change the check box on the Launch so that "Show Cover Page" is unchecked. To do that, click on the Report Info tab of the launcher that has the cover page you don't want, and find out the Report ID#. For example, JC Detail is report 506. Then go to Reports, Programs, RP Report Parameters. Enter the Report ID # , then go to the Grid View. Find the row that says "?ShowCoverPage" in the Parameter Name and then tab over to the Parameter Default and change the Y to an N.
Now the checkbox will be unchecked for the cover page on your report and does not appear.
I've only done this to JC Detail so I don't know if it works for all the reports. Good luck!
With 6.19, all standard reports offering multi-value select parameters and a cover page now offer an option to include/exclude the cover page
Definitely would like this report feature to be an option. It is very frustrating to not see the report I'm use to seeing, instead I have to arrow around this report detail feature.
Completely agree, just a waste of time clicking to the next page.
I agree, please have it removed.
Just installed 6.18.10. Thought the cover page issue would go away. But now get error message stating "the paramenter 'Show Cover Page" exists in Report Parameters, but not in the Crystal Report. Contact....... " So what's up? This "enhancement" reminds me of the disastrous New Coke release years ago. Come on Viewpoint........
Please put it back the way it was. The "cover page" is useless info and adds another step that is unnecessary to click to the 2nd page to get the information you need.
No one on my accounting team or in Ops likes this page and vote that it's removed.
You can't delete this page because the selected report parameters don't show on the report header anymore. Making it the last page is ok but even better would be to put the info in the header of the report. I don't know how many times a user says they are not getting the expected results from a report and it's because the parameter are wrong. If the selections don't show anywhere in the printout that would be terrible.
I am so frustrated by this. The Viewpoint Support told me to get a "customized" report. WHY would I pay for a report to be customized when it was already available? So ridiculous!
My suggestion is to get rid of the new 'Cover Page' that shows the launch screen information on the first page and go back to where that information prints at the top of every page. Many times I will look at a report several days later (or sometimes a year later for an audit report) and want to know what 'conditions' I had chose on the launch screen so I can run a similar report.
I am seeing this in several of the reports now. My suggestions is it be removed.
Waste of paper. This page is of no benefit.
I don't understand why it is even a page. I was very confused and lost when I saw it. I thought there was some sort of error in the drill down. Now its another arbitrary step to access the drill down features.
Either remove this page or make it the last page of the report. This page has no value and is confusing to users
It's awful, I agree, my users are driving me nuts with "this report is giving me an error" .... I don't know who's idea it was, but it needs to go, or at least be off by default
