Per support, once a Deduction or Liability code is created it cannot be deleted even if it is not used. The recommendation is to change the title of the deduct/liab code to include DO NOT USE. However, this does not prevent the system from adding these codes when selecting "Add Basis Codes" to newly created earnings types. It is a tedious task to add each code separately for all 6 of our companies and to troubleshoot issues later when a deduction / liab code was missed so it does not calculate.
