Being able to tax both the resident and posted state is great; however, currently those state subject earnings appear in both states. The other option "Both with difference to residence state" has the option to choose whether or not you want the subject amount to be included in the resident state. The concern is that if the resident state requires them to submit the W2 they maybe taxed on all income instead of receiving a credit for the posted state withholding.

I am a user of Vista and hopefully I am understanding the issue correctly. We found a solution by going under Payroll/Programs/ PR State Information and uncheck the Accumulate Subject Earnings in Resident State.
