New User Creation Improvements

We're new to Vista and going through the process of creating users across the company. This process is complicated, unintuitive, redundant, and time-consuming. I see many areas here that could be improved.


  1. There are no instructions on the Cascade import template and how to format the username properly. For example, our usernames include .XXXX@VIEWPOINT.CLOUD. In the import template, you must include only @VIEWPOINT.CLOUD and not .XXXX, because it will duplicate it. This is not clear or explained anywhere in the template or on the Cascade import site. Import templates on ProjectSight include full instructions for how they work, and Vista should be the same.

  2. Import template includes Phone Number, but that does not import into Cascade, and doesn’t seem to transfer into Vista either. What is the point if it isn't included on import? It would be great if it was imported into Cascade and transferred to Vista.

  3. Import template includes Display Name, but that does not transfer into Vista. Why should I have to duplicate my efforts here if the data already exists?

  4. Can the import template include email, and can that transfer into Vista?

  5. I can bulk import 50+ users easily into Cascade, but then in Vista, I have to pull new users in one-by-one, using the F4 lookup > System Users process. We should be able to multi-select new users at this step. The current process is extremely time-consuming, especially when you consider that it's also not pulling in all the data that already exists in Cascade as well.
