For any grid, please allow multiple sorts. In other programs I've used, having the user hold down the Ctrl key on their keyboard then selecting the column headers allows grid data to be sorted by more than one column. For example, say we have 100+ Subcontract Change Orders and wanted to first sort by the Vendor Name and then a date? PM Firm Contacts, if we have 10+ contacts with the First Name John then want to sort by their last names? Yes we can filter first, but we want to see ALL the records sorted.

@Gary yes actually that's perfect for my needs! Didn't know it did that!
Does existing grid column grouping meet the need? If not, please elaborate
Or if using the CONTROL KEY modifier, then I can see how the user might tap COL A then COL B to give the intention of sorting with COL A as primary, and COL B as secondary. Great idea!
Perhaps "Remember" the last three columns used to sort? Or the last two?
To sort with COL A as the primary and COL B as the secondary, the user would first tap COL B, then COL A. That way the most recent column tapped is always the most important.
I've seen a couple programs that sort using this method, and it makes sense. Users who aren't looking for it might not even notice the change, but those who ARE trying to do this would really appreciate it.
