We believe that Pay Rates in payroll should have effective dates so that pay rates can be scheduled (such as union contract increases). We would also like that effective date to affect existing timecard entry lines, so that if a change went into effect on the first of a month but payroll was not notified until the 2nd or 3rd, lines entered by employees would not need deleted and re-entered. We know the situation is possible where we could change the 'old' and 'new' rates during the week, all existing lines will be at the old rate instead of the new even though they have not been processed yet.

This feature is much needed as we have many union employees receiving mid week pay rate changes. Currently, if time is submitted and rate changes happen midweek, our payroll department has to go into each line item for each employee and update the rate. This could be hundreds of employees with multiple lines needing updated. If there is a way to re-validate as the comment below suggests, please let us know where / how to do this?
I think this can be done now, by changing the Effective Date on the Craft Master. Existing timecard lines would need to be re-validated, but they do not have to be deleted and re-entered.
