In late 2019 the Federal W4 withholding format was changed. The Form had a new method for calculation and new fields were added to Vista, in the PR Employee Deductions and Liabilities form. Stored as PRED. The new fields are
PRED.AddExempts
PRED.W4_DependentAmt
PRED.W4_OtherIncome
PRED.W4Deductions
PRED.AddonRateAmt (This field existed previously I believe)
These Fields were not added to the PRSP table, nor to the procedure that generates the records stored in PRSP upon processing a payment for wages, check or EFT. The standard withholding fields PRED.FileStatus, and PRED.RegExempts are included in the PRSP table.
My inquiry is if and when Viewpoint will be adding these field to the PRSP process and table for reference on paystub generation

Looks like the filing status/deducts are not required by the state of CA to be on paystubs; however, employees absolutely want to see this on their paystub. We get many many questions why their withholdings are not showing correctly anymore once they turn in a 2020 W-4. They are concerned we are not processing their withholding correctly even though we are. It should be a priority to Viewpoint to update accordingly as government forms change and to not misinform.
Which of these new W4 fields would you include on an employee's pay stub? Is this required or just informational?
These values could be pulled via custom check report or view when printed, but these would always show current value - might be a viable short term option
