There's 2 things in the system now that can be used to accomplish this.
Viewpoint Administration > Programs > VA Message Archive shows the emails sent via PR Direct Deposit Print. Errors regarding sending the email to the email server would appear here.
The Pay Stub Notify screen has an option to set a From email address. You can set that to an email you monitor for any error messages sent back from the email server .
