Aatrix is a nightmare. Merged

Lots of time consuming manual work and repeated work with Aatrix. When the Aatrix file loaded, I would check it against my own file to make sure the correct vendors were in there with the correct dollar amounts. If the dollar amounts were wrong, I would correct them in the Aatrix file. I would finish checking the Aatrix file against my spreadsheet to see some vendors did not load for whatever reason. When I "x"ed out of the file, Aatrix would ask if I wanted to save it. Great! I said "yes" thinking I would not have to repeat the steps I already did. I would go out and look into the vendors that did not load and correct them. Then, I would "download" again to "launch Aatrix" again and go back into the saved Aatrix file thinking the ones I just corrected would load, but guess what? Nooooooooo! I had to do it all over again because the option at the end of a completed session to go back and do ones not done yet didn't work correctly either. Very time consuming and repetitive. Then, I would finally complete NEC and now have to do MISC. So many vendors loaded into the Aatrix file that an NEC printed for, and they populated in MISC with no dollar amount. WHY??? You can't delete them there. You have to close that file and delete them individually in the starting box. Then, you go back in to make sure you have the MISC ones you need. Why you can't delete in the Aatrix file is beyond me. Every time you go out and have to go back in, you have to enter thru all the same fields, enter all the same info, and click all the correct answers again and again. Not to mention, after you print 1099s, you have to then flip them over and run thru the printer again to print the instructions. Why they aren't loaded already on the back like they have been for years is also beyond me. Then, Aatrix doesn't like periods so every vendor with a period had to be corrected. Then, vendors with a social security # are entered with the person's name. In the Aatrix file, you have to enter the person's last name in 1 box, first name in another box, and then full name in another box. WHAT????? The vendor is already set up that way to begin with. Why the duplication?I don't have one good thing to say about Aatrix. It was better before doing it in previous years with VP and w/o Aatrix. Bad choice this year. Thumbs down
