Under STP2 we need to provide the ATO separation of allowances that are included in an employees hourly rate. Besides setting up new earn codes, these new earn codes need to be able to calculate overtime, be assigned to an employee so when they take annual leave, sick leave, public holidays etc. they are paid their hourly rate plus the allowance rate. If we don't do this we will be fined by the ATO as its a requirement our software needs to be able to accommodate this.
