I would like the ability to apply T&M templates by contract item rather than one template for the entire contract. Our company has an insulation department and a scaffolding department that require a different set of rules when it comes to invoicing. Examples include different markup on freight, equipment, and material, sales tax applying to rental equipment only vs entire contract, certain items (cost types) are unbillable in one department while billable in the other. I've created complex T&M templates to capture all of the scenario's but I've found that it's better to use two templates for each contract - one scaffolding and one insulation. Before initializing the invoice, I verify the correct template is applied then switch it over when invoicing the other department. This is a work around that I'd LOVE to fix. It would save me a lot of time and decrease the chance of errors if I had the capability to add the T&M template on each contract item line. Then, if no template is assigned to the contract items, it can default back to the T&M template under the JB info tab.
