We are in the process of migrating to the cloud and the extraneous features distract our employees from their real work. I understand that Trimble is trying to build a sense of community, but we would like to be able to disable or hide extra things that do not pertain to our work.
One example is the Trimble icon on the top of the main menu. On Premise, it takes you to basically a marketing page which 97% of our users have no business going to. The same button in the cloud takes you to a Trimble Work Center which hopefully changes per user but right now shows widgets for AP Invoices and HR that we certainly do not want regular users to see. This should be assignable by role as I can see upper management wanting to see this page.
A second example is the only way that a user is able to change his or her password in the cloud is to use the profile page, but that also allows users to change their email addresses (who thought this was a good idea). If you want to provide this functionality, make each portion securable by each company.
A third area to clean up is: If the user's login fails for any reason, different failure pages return the user to different links to log into the cloud. Theoretically, all the links "work" but there are different links on different pages and now our users are exploring things that do not pertain to their work. Even worse, a handful of users were told that their email address was reserved and tried to register with their personal email addresses.
