Currently, we have our vacation leave code setup with a "Accrual Type" of "Rate Based" not fixed. This is to ensure the only people that get an accrual are those that worked and not every active employee. This is to care for employees who are out on medical leave, FMLA, workman's comp, called up from reserve or may simply just not be working for a few weeks between jobs. The system handling using "Rate Based" with a limit creates a ton of issues when correcting time cards related to a prior pay period or issuing checks for missed hours. Both rate based and fixed are not good options. FMLA, disability and workman comp are federal laws and I cannot understand why this has not been cared for by Vista already.
