When using split-months for payroll it become challenging because it is not easy to get a "month-end" number from your GL and financial reporting until after the payroll is paid and processed.
The job costing is already updated, but it does not match the GL until after "print checks" and the pay period is fully paid and closed.
We would like to see Vista accrue the appropriate amounts to the GL each time a ledger update is done, and update accordingly if changes are posted. The final update would occur upon "print checks" when the pay period is fully paid and closed.
This would ensure that the GL matches the Job Costing, and that GL reporting can be done accurately and within reason even to official month-end close. We would effectively like to see the system handle the GL Ledger updates similar to how it handles the job cost updates so that they match consistently throughout the month and at month end even in a split month.

I'm surprised this doesn't have more votes
I agree the PM's are always confused as to why the hours are posted but not the overhead. They cannot understand why one is done and not the other. It makes there cost reports inaccurate.
