Arizona just pass legislation in spring 2017 for all employers to provide paid sick leave (not vacation leave) up to 40 hours/year for employee counts of over 15. Employers with under 15 employees are required to provide 24 hours of paid sick leave per year.
For those of us affected by this legislation whether in Arizona or in other states, Vista need to have an option to accrue 1 hours of sick leave per every 30 hours of work time ONLY. This does NOT compute for holiday or vacation hours - it's strictly based on work hours and includes regular time, overtime and double-time hours.
In the Leave Code setup, there needs to be a place for a Usage Limit of either 24 or 40 hours whichever is applicable for the company. Per the legislation, sick leave per year cannot be less than the usage limit but it could be more should the company so choose. So, not only does the accrual need to be tracked by "every 30 hours of work" but also the usage per year has to be tracked to not allow any employee to use more than the limit.
At this point, our company is nation-wide and I do payroll for over 500 employees so tracking usage via Excel will become tedious very quickly.
The sooner Viewpoint can develop these option changes the better for all our sanity!
