We are already using the HR module to set an effective date for benefits to begin. If this module talked to the Payroll module properly then we could set up the deduction in PR and have it look to the HR module for the deduction start date. As it stands now, we must wait until the appropriate PR to enter the deduction. This is time consuming to and things are overlooked.

Workers Comp and tax rates should also have an effective date too.
Run the HR to PR Update every week and it will pick up the effective date when needed, to "talk" to payroll.
